Winterville is back and better than ever for 2017, with a line-up of unmissable entertainment for all ages. This includes a special Family Xmas Show, Clapham Common’s first ever Ice Rink, a Kid’s Rave, UV-Powered Crazy Golf, a Narnia-inspired interactive experience and a Kid’s Quarter on Saturdays with FREE entertainment. Entry to Winterville is also FREE every day for kids under 16. For further information and tickets to certain shows please visit winterville.co.uk.
Expect plenty of family festive fun. Open seven days a week, get ready to slide and glide across Clapham Common’s first ever Ice Rink, with trusty penguin skating aids on hand for the little ones. Or head into the Twisted Wheels Roller Disco featuring a daytime soundtrack selected with children in mind.
In the Spiegeltent there are performances of Michael Morpugo’s Mimi & The Mountain Dragon from Skewbald Theatre – a tale of snow dragons, puppets and songs, with plenty of audience interaction. Big Fish, Little Fish are also hosting kids raves in the Spiegeltent – join them for a daytime boogie to awesome dance-music soundtracks.
For more theatre, visit The World Beyond The Wardrobe – a Narnia-inspired interactive experience for the whole family. Guests will be greeted by elves, stroll through winter forests, drink tea with fauns and creep in disguise past the wicked White Queen in a quest to bring colour back to the forest.
For another immersive experience head through the magical wardrobe and down a secret tunnel of trees to find Backyard Cinema’s Winter Night Garden, where you can watch Christmas classics including Home Alone, Elf and much more in a beautiful woodland setting.
This year’s Kids Quarter will be curated by LittleBird and is completely FREE to enter. Here kids will be taught circus skills, make twinkly Christmas decorations and get glitter tattoos from Santa’s elves. On top of all this there’s a huge festive fairground.
Street Feast will also be bringing some of London’s best street food traders to Winterville – expect juicy ribs, crispy wood-fired pizzas, salted caramel brownies and loads more. There’ll also be hot chocolate, mulled wine, hot toddies and lots more delicious drinks to get everyone in the festive spirit.
Baby changing facilities and pushchair access will be available across the site.
Winterville is brought to you by the teams behind Field Day and Street Feast. The nearest tube is Clapham Common. Entry is FREE for kids under 16, and free for 16+ except Friday and Saturday night with a £3 entry from 6PM.
