Known for his distinctive vocal style and soothing acoustic guitar, Newton Faulkner is an established name in the music industry as many will remember 2007’s ‘Dream Catch Me’.
Picking up the guitar at the age of 13, Newton attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, which he then started his first band, a Green Day cover band. This spurred him onto creating his own funk/rock group ‘Half A Guy’ which releases two demo cds and lasted 2 years before splitting.
Having had a string of successful studio albums that followed 2007’s ‘Hand Built By Robots’, Newton released his latest ‘Human Love’ in November 2015, and it’s been playing non stop in the office so far. ‘Human Love’ opens with Newton’s take on Major Lazer’s ‘Get Free’, setting the tone for the rest of the album, a well polished production which varies in pace, from deep, serene calming songs to upbeat ‘tap your feet’ songs.
