Wellbeing begins at Bestival

Wellbeing begins at Bestival

Uniting the physical, mental and spiritual states of wellbeing in one amazing arena, Slow Motion is a republic of contentment located deep within Bestival’s Colour-infused wonderland. Presented in partnership with Balance magazine, once again there will be a dedicated programme of healthy pursuits from wild runs, spin class raving and euphoric yoga, to relaxing hot tubs, body art, healthy food and much more. So, don’t miss the chance to take your body and soul on an expedition to discover Slow Motion.

Bestival yogi, Rob da Bank says: “Josie and I, and a lot of the team bend, stretch, practice yoga, meditate, do weird things with turmeric and ginger, and occasionally levitate, so Slow Motion is very close to our hearts. We started Slow Motion because we saw people taking better care of themselves and it’s such a beautiful addition to our festival. Let’s get slow!”

Balance magazine Editor, Sophie Scott said: “The best festivals raise your vibrations on every level… Balance magazine is excited to partner with Bestival this year to provide zen, inspiration and magical moments in Slow Motion. Get some headspace, restore your chi (and have a hot shower!) in the midst of all the revelry. ‘Cos real fun means finding your balance… We can’t wait to help restore yours.”

Ensuring you don’t miss your work out, the heart of Slow Motion is home to Witness the Fitness. Our high energy yoga and fitness tent designed for Bestival beauties who care about putting a bit back in too. Programmed from 8am-7pm each day, Witness the Fitness is a place to re-centre and let go, sweat out the night before, or to energise on the way back out. With a variety of fitness and yoga headliners you’ll be able to hit that high with Superfoxx, Vogue Bristol, Fat Buddha Yoga, At Your Beat, Booty Camp, HIIT, Hip-Hop Yoga, Drum n’ Bounce, Groove Om Deep House Yoga, Laughter Yoga & Happiness Workshops, Acroyoga and more.

The hugely popular Revolution Rides Spinning Raves also make their return. A collaboration between Rob da Bank and fitness guru Tim Weeks, unite with your fellow Bestivalites and experience the euphoria of music and exercise in perfect unison.

If you really feel like escaping it all then why not join up for one of our Wild Runs and explore the beautiful natural surroundings of the Lulworth Estate. Find your place and your pace in nature, kick start those endorphins and feel energised for the day ahead.

If chilling out is more your speed then Slow Motion has got everything you need. Hot Tubs with Bathing Under the Sky are an impeccable way to start the day or enjoy a bit of calm before heading back into the action. Indulge in hot showers, a dry Finnish Sauna and the luxurious restoring warmth of the waters, sip champagne and treat yourself to one of life’s real pleasures.

If you want to loosen up try one of our Slow Motion Massage Therapies including holistic massage, Reiki, reflexology, Ayurvedic treatments, Indian head massage and sound healing. Whatever your needs, you’ll find something to suit your body and soul but book in early – these therapies sell out fast!

We know that maintaining your style is no mean feat at a festival, so to help keep you on your A-game The Transformation Station is your friend. Pamper yourself properly with solar powered showers, Babyliss hairdryers and straighteners, and this year we’ll be collaborating with a range of skincare specialists who will be providing a selection of their beauty products so you can keep your glow all weekend long.
